Support

Need help with a repair, quote, collection or batch job? Our Centurion team supports clients across Pretoria and nationwide with practical guidance from first call to final delivery.

How our support process works

When a part lands in the workshop, the first step is to understand what failed, where the crack has moved, and whether the item can be repaired without affecting tolerances. For many clients this starts with a photo by email through our contact form, followed by a call to check material type, thickness and the finish required. That saves time and helps us guide the job properly from the start.

We handle support for single parts, repeat production runs and urgent workshop repairs. If you are in Centurion, Pretoria East or Midrand, we can talk through collection or drop-off. For clients further afield, our nationwide courier jobs process keeps things moving without you having to travel to the workshop.

What to send when asking for help

The right details help us give a proper answer, especially on precision parts, mould work and thin section welding. If you are not sure about the material, send clear photos and we will advise what else is needed. Even on tight turnaround jobs, a few basic details can prevent delays.

  • A short description of the fault or repair needed
  • Clear photos from different angles
  • Approximate part size in millimetres
  • Material if known, such as stainless steel or aluminium
  • How quickly the part is needed
  • Whether the part must be collected, couriered or dropped off

Collections, drop-offs and courier coordination

Our Centurion Workshop supports direct drop-offs, while Pretoria East Support and Midrand Collections help clients who are closer to those routes. This is useful for manufacturers, engineering firms and maintenance teams who need quick turnaround without sending staff across town. We also assist Jet Park clients who need service on the East Rand side.

If couriering a part, pack it so it cannot move around in transit and include your contact details inside the parcel. In Gauteng, heat and dust can be rough on exposed components, and coastal humidity can affect parts sent from Durban, Richards Bay or Port Elizabeth, so proper packing matters. We work with clients nationwide, including smaller towns where getting a specialist repair done locally is not always practical.

Support for repair types and tricky jobs

Some repairs are straightforward, others need careful buildup and control of heat input to avoid distortion. That is where experience counts, especially on mould and die work, crack repair and edge build up. We support jobs where a neat repair is more important than speed alone, because the part still has to fit and function after it leaves the workshop.

  • Precision laser welding for fine, localised repair work
  • Crack repair on worn or stressed components
  • Edge build up for parts needing extra material at the working edge
  • Thin section welding where heat control is critical
  • Stainless and aluminium repairs for workshop and plant use
  • Part restoration for damaged or worn items that must go back into service

Workshop support for business clients

Our support is set up for job-shop work, so we can assist maintenance teams, toolrooms, fabricators and production managers who need practical answers. Whether it is a one-off prototype joining job or a batch of parts that all need the same repair, we keep the communication clear and the paperwork in order. That helps when you are under pressure from shutdowns, delivery dates or production stoppages.

For regular clients, we can discuss repeat work, preferred handover methods and how best to manage parts arriving from different sites. If your operation runs through load-shedding, early mornings or after-hours collections, tell us upfront so we can plan around it. We know that downtime costs money, so support has to be dependable and plainspoken.

When you are not sure if a part can be saved

Not every damaged item needs replacing. In many cases, a worn, cracked or broken component can be repaired if the damage has not spread too far and the part still has usable material. We look at the part honestly and tell you if repair makes sense, or if a replacement route would be better. That kind of advice saves time and unnecessary spend.

If you are comparing repair options, ask us what will be needed for the job and what finish you can expect after welding. We will explain the likely turnaround, any prep required and whether the part should be cleaned before it comes in. Practical support is about giving you enough information to make the next step without guessing.

Who you will speak to

Support is handled by a team that knows the workshop side as well as the client side. Marius van der Merwe oversees the business, while Naledi Mokoena manages operations, Johan Erasmus handles senior laser welding work, Anele Dlamini checks quality, Priya Naidoo assists with client communication, and Thabo Molefe coordinates workshop flow. That means your query is not passed around blindly.

If you need help with a current job, a new enquiry or a follow-up on a collected part, send a message through our contact form and include your name, company and the site or town involved. We keep support practical, direct and responsive so you can get back to work with less back and forth.
